I want to work out consistently
I want to work out consistenly. The problem being that my previous work-outs looked like so:
- Look if it's leg/arm/core day
- Do whatever exercice that come in mind
- Wait for 3 minutes
- Do another exercice
- Wait for 3 minutes
- Be not sure of what you supposed to do next
- Do the first exercise because you forgot that you did it already and don't to work one muscle group
Well at least I was working out but I wasn't consistent for sure. Sometime doing all the thinking before a work out was more exausting than actually doing it. So I ended up not doing the thinking (nor the workout).
But working out is such an important part of my life. I really like working out and even the inconsistent work-outs showed results. Results on my looks, on my health, on my energy and on my happiness. That's why I want to work out. That's also why it's on my happiness project resolutions.
So it's time to create a workout plan. I've been looking at YouTube channels or website that could help me. Here is a YouTube Channel that helped me.1
To organize my week I simply do like so:
- Mon : Push
- Tue : Pull
- Wed : Squat
- Thu : Push
- Fri : Pull
- Sat : Squat
Then I simply select the exercises for each type of work-out. And I did some small cards for each work-out to be able to remember what I should do. And that's it, I made my work-outs a more consistent habit. It's a simple solution but it's one that improve things for me.
I've been discovering great exercises that works for the beginner that I am. I'm quite happy about the progress that I've made! Well I may add another simple improvement to my work-outs in the future. But I don't want to spend more time thinking about solutions than actually working out.
If you happen to know some good resources don't hesitate to send me an email! I would be happy to discover something else :)↩
